Mario ToneguzziA listing for the Calgary Herald building, which has been for sale since 2014, was re-launched last week by commercial real estate firm Avison Young – and for the first time a price has been publicly attached to the listing.

The 344,843-square-foot building is listed for sale at $20 million. According to a brochure by Avison Young, the building’s 2018 assessment was for $38.96 million.

“The subject property is being offered for sale on a first come, first serve basis,” says the new listing.

The building, owned by newspaper chain Postmedia, which is based in Toronto, is located at 215 16th Street S.E. and was built in 1980.

It sits on 12.87 acres of land between Deerfoot Trail and Memorial Drive.

The building is made up of 166,900 square feet of office space and 177,943 square feet of industrial space.
